Earning College Credits in High School

Dover High School and Career Technical Center offers concurrent-enrollment programs that allow students to earn college credits while enrolled in designated high school courses.  Below are detailed descriptions of the current programs available.

  • Project Running Start offers DHS-CTC juniors and seniors college credit through the New Hampshire Community College System for a minimal fee of $150.00 (financial assistance is available).  Courses are taught by qualified high school instructors who teach designated college-level courses to students in the HS environment.  Credits earned through this program are transferable to other colleges/universities. 

  • SNHU in the High School provides DHS-CTC sophomores, juniors, and seniors college credits prior to high school graduation.  Courses are taught by qualified high school instructors who teach SNHU courses to students in the high school environment. Students who wish to earn SNHU credit will be required to pay a minimal fee of $100.00. Credits earned through this program are transferable to other colleges/universities. 

  • Articulation Agreements allow students to take qualifying high school classes that fulfill requirements for entry-level college courses through individual agreements between high schools & colleges.There is no cost associated with this program and credits earned can only be used at the college/university that holds the agreement.

NOTE:  All concurrent enrollment offerings are re-established on an annual basis and are not guaranteed until the start of the school year.  Please check the Dover Career Technical Center’s website or contact the Career Services Coordinator for the most current offerings.
